The countdown to Christmas.

2023 was the first year I offered holiday mini sessions to my clients, and let me tell you, I had a BLAST! Fox Run Regional Park offers the most serene location for a holiday photoshoot, with the densely wooded areas that provide privacy and all the beauty of nature. To me, this setting just screams "holiday," even more than a studio session.

I kept my set relatively simple, to let my clients' families shine! A few holiday colored throws, and some faux trees, pulled from my very own collection, set the scene perfectly. Whether dressed in the traditional holiday colors of red and green, or some of my favorite neutrals, or even in the less traditional "blue Christmas" colors, this setting helped tie it all together without stealing the show.

Paras, John, and their boys are some of my favorite clients! Paras snagged her holiday mini session the day they posted (and if you don't want to miss out for 2024, you can sign up with the form at the bottom of this post!), to make sure she had the perfect holiday greeting card photos.

It always amazes me how many great images we can capture in such a short amount of time. JJ and Zach are pros at playing games with me, to get those genuine smiles. And I know it was tough for Paras and John to pick their favorite ten photos out of a gallery of almost 40 pictures! :)

I'll have a "Blu" Christmas, without you.

Can I bring my dog for my holiday mini sessions? Um, heck yes! If you know anything about me, you know I love animals. (Check out my own holiday photo at the bottom of this blog post!) I'd book a session just to meet your pets, if I'm being honest. ;)

Caitlin and Dylan were able to celebrate the season with pup, Blu. I loved meeting this girl and her humans, and Blu had so much to see and smell at the park. While I always love photographing pets, the cherry on top is when their humans are as awesome and cute as Caitlin and Dylan were! So much love in this little fam!

All I want for Christmas, is you!

Holiday mini sessions are perfect for families with young children. Kaitlyn and her family rocked it with their photos, proving yet again just how many great poses we can get in such a short time. Plus, I was able to play games with her boys to keep them alert and occupied for all 15 minutes, and they even got to see Santa's "smile sensor" on the back of my camera! ;)

In 2024, I'll be offering holiday minis to my clients in November, and the dates will be announced in early October. I'll have a different location and set up this year, so I'd love to see all of my families from 2023 again!
